Brakes For The Brave

On Friday, August 15, Car Aid and Advance Auto Parts are teaming up to provide 15 complete brake jobs, including parts and labor, completely free for selected service members.

What's the Event?

On Friday, August 15, 2025 we’re giving back to those who serve. Car Aid is donating the labor for 15 complete brake jobs, and our partners at Advance Auto Parts are donating the parts 100% free to the selected service members.

How to Nominate

  • Submit a nomination form here: https://forms.gle/X8UVNqqTNEf2C4GS9
  • Deadline to nominate: Friday, August 8
  • Who can be nominated: Active duty U.S. military service members & Veterans
  • Winners notified by: Tuesday, August 12

Day Of Plan (for selected recipients)

  • Vehicle drop-off: 8:00–8:30 AM
  • Inspections & brake service: All day
  • Pick-up & thank-you hangout: 4:00–6:00 PM
  • We close at 6 PM

What’s Covered

  • Standard brake pads and rotors (as needed) + professional installation.
  • A full brake inspection to make sure you’re safe on the road.
  • If we find anything outside the scope of the free brake job, we’ll review it with you first. no surprises. If interested we will set this up at a later date.

Eligibility & Fine Print

  • Must provide valid military ID or proof of active duty status.
  • Limited to 15 vehicles. Selection is based on nominations chosen by Car Aid.
  • One vehicle per recipient.
  • Services must be performed on August 15, 2025 at our 23 Mile Shelby Township location.
